Can you believe summer is 8 weeks away?
With all this 80 degree weather we've been having in Atlanta lately it feels like summer already. But I am definitely not complaining because I love the heat.
Monday kicked off the annual Bikini Series over at
and I'm happy to say I've done some sort of work out, but not necessarily theirs, every day since. Yup, you counted correctly three whole days
I'm sensing that you aren't impressed.
I love working out or any activity that gives me an excuse to be physically active. However, I am terrible at sticking to any sort of plan or schedule when it comes to working out because honestly I like my body. I'm, not motivated to change it based on appearance alone.
I do however wish I were stronger because I enjoy impressing people with the large amount my tiny body can lift. I wish I were less tired at the end of each day and I notice working out changes that more effectively than a cup (or three) of coffee. I wish to one day be a mom who can keep up with her teenage kids and I'm pretty sure if I don't start now it'll be way harder once they're here.
My point is a fitness challenge doesn't have to be this vain thing with the end goal of running around half naked at a beach. Taking care of our physical bodies affects every other aspect of our lives. With summer around the corner now is the perfect time to commit to taking better care of our temples.
Are you with me?
