I cry when I watch rom-coms no matter how cheesy they are. I get overly attached to relationships that only exist in books. What can I say; I'm a sucker for love stories. So when our old middle school ministry intern shared this article his girlfriend wrote I about melted. Ah, young love…somebody pass me a tissue quick!

Dear Significant Other,

Have I told you lately that I am thankful for you? I know I don’t say it nearly as much as I ought to. College is not an easy season of life. Balancing grades, friends, family, major life decisions and adding me onto that list is not an easy task. In the midst of writing papers, figuring out life in college, and making new friends, you have been there to support me every step of the way. Your constant words of encouragement mean the absolute world to me, babe!

Thank you for pointing me to Christ when times are terrible and even when things are going great. As we walk through this thing called college, I hope and pray that I would be a constant source of encouragement and support. I’m thankful for the laughs, the spontaneous fast food trips, the surprise dates and the many letters. Thank you for reminding me that chivalry is not dead. The simple things like opening the car door and buying me flowers make me smile so big! I’m so thankful for you. I am thankful for your love for life itself. I have never met anyone who gets more excited about simply going to Chick-fil-A to get some chicken nuggets than you. You live life to the fullest everyday and make the mundane something to get excited about. I’m thankful for your zeal.
