7 Days of Prayer

This weekend at our monthly leadership summit we briefly talked about being intentional about praying for our students. We decided that each week we would all pray, every single day, for one student (well technically two since our group is co-ed…but male leaders will pick a guy and female leaders will pick a girl). To make sure we are all on the same page I created the following categories for each day.

Sunday – Serve
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10 (NIV)
Monday – Worship
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 (NIV)
Tuesday – Grow
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
Wednesday – Family
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12 (NIV)
Thursday – Friends
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20 (NIV)
Friday – Purity

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 (NIV)
Saturday – Rest
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:9-11 (NIV)
