You can't shake the memories of your past and who you used to be. You don't think you're good enough for the future you truly want. The voice in your head whispers "it can happen for them but never for me".
Sweet girl, you can get past your past.
You are a triumphant warrior. Those battle scars tell a story; a story of redemption. The world needs your story. Don't hide it out of fear or shame. The more you tell it the easier it will get and the more you will realize you're not that girl anymore.
You are a new creation.
You have been washed clean by the King. There's no sin that can leave a stain strong enough to withstand the cleansing power of the blood of Christ. When God looks at you He sees perfection, even with knowing your past, because He sees His son.
He wants the best for you.
Your failures and shortcomings don't change His desire to use you. You were chosen, predestined, and adopted. He wants the mess that you were and sometimes still are. But more than that He wants the future you can have in Him.
He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
