I recently heard the statistic that "80% of physical, emotional and mental health issues today could be a direct result of our thought lives". Then last night while talking with a friend I realized the people I know that are truly optimistic rarely ever get sick. I also realized that I personally tend to get sick when I have some sort of relational stress going on. It's like my body says "you can't deal with this right now I'm going to force you to rest". I get that not ALL illness is brought on by the mind but if you could fight off a case of the sniffles by simply changing your attitude wouldn't you want to do that? It's like taking Airborne before a plane ride, it can't hurt. I have a Pinterest board named Happy Heart where I save all the images that make me smile. Whenever I feel down I scroll through the pictures and remember that there are brighter days to come. I decided to stop being selfish and start sharing them with you. Enjoy!
