Lately my life has been crazy. Between church commitments, transitioning to a new role at work, plans with friends and family, and the stress of moving I've kind of lost track of my days.
We all find ourselves in this season at one time or another. When life screams "go, go, go" but your mind pleads "bed, bed, bed".
It's easy to get stressed out and irritable. Often those closest to us feel the heat (for things that usually aren't their fault). So how do we regain control? By waking up earlier. I know that's the last thing any of us want to do when we feel exhausted but making sure you carve out quiet time with God before the craziness begins will completely change your outlook.
It doesn't always have to be an intense time of study where you pull out multiple translations of the Bible along with Greek and Hebrew Lexicons to assist in your fervent search for answers. Sometimes it's as simple as finding a quiet corner grabbing a cup of hot tea and listening to worship music. Or pouring your worries and troubles out in prayer before you face the day. Doing this reminds us that things are not in our control. So there is no reason to be overwhelmed no need to feel that we must do it all alone.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. –Matthew 11: 28
